Introduction
My name is Brandy Beavers, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Summer 2018 and will graduate Fall 2019. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a BacheIor's degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I began teaching elementary school. I then went back to Kennesaw State to pursue my Master's in Early Childhood Education. I graduated in 2016.I have been teaching now for 7 years.
I am currently a Physical Education Teacher at North LaFayette Elementary in Walker County, Georgia. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Education Specialist's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. I plan to continue teaching elementary students, with more of a focus in the technology aspect of education. I hope to help other teachers integrate technology into their curriculum while discovering new ways to integrate technology into the Physical Education curriculum as well.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my curriculum, assist other educators in using technology, and to provide professional learning opportunities to these educators.
